Construction of an integrated gas treatment plant with a capacity of 1 000 000 000 nm3/year

The 1 billion ni3/year capacity gas treatment plant project is unique and the first not only in the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The project will give impetus to the development of the country's gas processing industry, will increase the level of oil production at Kashagan to 450 thousand barrels per day, expand the resource base for further gasification of the country and improve the environmental friendliness of oil and gas production. Up to 2,500 temporary jobs have been created during the construction period, and more than 600 permanent jobs will be provided during operation.
- Implementation period: 2021 – 2026;
- Processing capacity: up to 1 billion m3 / year of raw sulfur dioxide, from which will be produced:
- 815 million m3 / year - marketable gas and 119 thousand tons / year of liquefied gas,
- 212 thousand tons / year of sulfur,
- 35 thousand tons / year of gas condensate; - The resource base for the gas processing plant will be natural gas from the Kashagan field.
