The construction of the gas processing plant on Kashagan continues

Bakhytzhan Taubayev, Co-Managing Director for Strategy and Asset Management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC, and Salavat Agishev, Director of the New Projects Department at QazaqGaz NC JSC, conducted an on-site inspection of a gas processing plant on Kashagan with a capacity of 1 billion m3 per year. The event was attended by specialized GPCI specialists and representatives of contractors.

During the meeting, the contractors presented up-to-date information on the progress of construction and installation work and reported on plans to achieve key stages of the project by the end of this year.

More than 2000 specialists are involved at the site, of which 1,377 are direct personnel. About 173 workers are involved in night shifts. More than 339 units of construction equipment are in operation. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring safe working conditions, including at night.

Construction and installation work (C&I) progress:

✅ Chimney installation has been completed;

✅ Foundation pouring, installation and painting of metal structures and service areas, installation and piping of process equipment, and assembly of RVS-5000 tanks and 600 m³ spherical tanks are underway;

✅ Construction of external utility networks (NVK-2) is underway.

✅ Roofing has been completed at the GPCI rotational camp in the administrative and amenity complex (AAC) and two dormitories with 140 and 132 beds. Installation of internal partitions and electrical work is underway in the dormitories with 140 and 132 beds and the AAC, which are part of the permanent rotational camp.

Progress on key work items:

Concrete foundation work: 56,178 m³ completed (73.8% progress)

Steel structure installation: 5,768 tons (28.6%)

Mechanical equipment installation: 4,424 tons (45.3%)

Tank installation: 1,712 tons (85%)

Underground pipeline installation: 21,810 m (48.8%)

JSC NC QazaqGaz continues comprehensive control of the project implementation, ensuring compliance with construction deadlines, as well as compliance with established quality and safety standards at all stages.
