Social sustainability and personnel development: Kashagan GPP in the spotlight

This week, the Vice Minister of Labor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Biakhmetov paid a working visit to the construction site of the Kashagan gas processing plant. Accompanied by representatives of local executive bodies of the Atyrau region, he got acquainted with the progress of construction, the organization of the labor process and conditions for workers.

The purpose of the visit was a comprehensive review of labor policy and social sustainability issues at one of the country's key industrial facilities. During the meeting were discussed:

• measures to attract unemployed citizens from among the local population to the implementation of large projects,
• employment opportunities for specialists released due to the optimization of the Future Grows Project at the Tengiz field.

The Vice Minister gave a positive assessment of the progress of construction, the high level of labor organization and compliance with labor protection and industrial safety requirements.

Focus on People: The Partnership has implemented a personnel adaptation system

One of the priority areas of the Partnership's development is the formation of a comfortable and supportive working environment for new employees. In this regard, a personnel adaptation system was developed and implemented, which has already proven its effectiveness in practice. In the context of active expansion of the team and the involvement of specialists in specific, technically complex areas of activity, the first stage of labor integration is of particular importance.

As experience shows, it is the first weeks that determine how quickly and successfully an employee will join the team, master production processes and begin to effectively perform assigned tasks.
